As JFS’ Chief Executive Officer, Andrea Steinberg manages the agency’s myriad of programs, providing essential support and services to more than 13,000 people annually. She navigates business matters, shapes the nonprofit narrative, and successfully fosters relationships to ensure we remain the foremost social services agency in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
Ann Thoresen is JFS’ dedicated Chief Operating Officer. In that capacity she spearheads program operations, policies, and procedures. With over two decades at JFS, Ann has been a driving force behind various initiatives, including mental health support, homelessness alleviation, healthy community programs, and senior services.
Laura Rodgers, LCSW is Chief Impact Officer for JFS in Atlantic & Cape May Counties, New Jersey. She has over 25 years of experience providing and developing programming in the areas of counseling, mental health outreach, ending homelessness, aging in place activities, justice involved services, and supportive housing-all with a focus on promoting social connection.
Steven Marchiano serves as JFS’s Chief Financial Officer, providing direct oversight and administration of the agency’s finances. He is responsible for the agency’s payroll, accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable, contracts, grants, audits, investments, and implementing innovative opportunities to ensure sound fiscal performance and solid organizational growth. Steve plays a crucial role in advancing JFS’s strategic vision that promotes wellness, eliminates barriers, and optimizes health for the communities served.
Matthew Simpson was appointed to a two-year term as Board President of JFS in June 2023. Prior to serving as Board President, he was a member of the Board for seven years in various roles. He has also been a board liaison for the Community Advisory Committee and has been the Regional Manager at Carfax for Police for the past 13 years, serving to strengthen the agency’s relationship with law enforcement. Matt resides in Linwood, New Jersey with his two sons, Michael and David. His commitment through volunteerism has always been exemplary. During the pandemic, Matt, along with his sons, were on-site, helping in the food pantry and ensuring needs were met.
