JFS responds in crisis. Whether facing emergencies like “Superstorm Sandy,” grappling with the challenges of COVID, or dealing with more localized crises like casino closures or fires, our team is trained, compassionate and springs into action as needs emerge. We offer food and essentials, crisis counseling, short-term housing, care coordination, emergency financial aid, and ongoing assistance.
By learning new skills and connecting with community partners and first responders, we are proactive and prepared to respond to future challenges that arise. In almost every emergency, people will have immediate and ongoing needs with which JFS is prepared to assist.
