Ann Thoresen, LCSW
Chief Operating Officer
Ann Thoresen is JFS’ dedicated Chief Operating Officer. In that capacity she spearheads program operations, policies, and procedures. With over two decades at JFS, Ann has been a driving force behind various initiatives, including mental health support, homelessness alleviation, healthy community programs, and senior services.
In 2014, Ann played a pivotal role in establishing the Atlantic Homeless Alliance, a groundbreaking initiative offering a centralized entry point for individuals facing homelessness in Atlantic County. She continuously ensures JFS’s reputation as a premier provider of mental health services through her dedication to best practices, innovative service delivery, and program growth.
Starting her journey at JFS as a case manager, Ann’s passion, knowledge and expertise propelled her through various roles, ultimately culminating in her current position as a respected agency leader.
She holds a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies from Stockton University. Committed to her community, she volunteers with several environmental organizations, embodying her dedication to service both in and out of the workplace.
