Join Thoughts from the Bookshelf Facilitator Pat Goldstein and Village Community Specialist Tina Serota for a book club gathering. This month, we will discuss the book, French Braid, by Anne Tyler. The insightful novel shares a funny, joyful journey into one family’s life and their many fundamental assumptions regarding womanhood, motherhood, and aging. Holocaust Survivor Day
Wednesday, June 4 at 5pm
Join Holocaust Survivor Michael Bornstein as we honor local survivors, incorporate community connections through Jewish peoplehood, and explore generational wisdom. As co-author of the New York Times best-selling book, Survivors Club: The True Story of a Very Young Prisoner of Auschwitz, Bornstein was four-years-old when he was liberated from a concentration camp and made his way to the United States six years later. The program is co-sponsored by Seed the Dream Foundation, Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties, Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties, KAVOD, Marjorie & Lewis Katz JCC, and the Stockton University Sara & Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center.
