JFS has once again been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Dennis Schuman Charitable Foundation to benefit The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore. The funds will support this neighbor helping neighbor community-based program for adults age 50 and older.

The 10th Annual JFS Card Party, which takes place Thursday, August 22 at Harbor Pines Golf Club, will benefit The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore. Attendees may choose to play Mahjong, Canasta or Bridge. Cost is $100 per player and includes a delicious lunch buffet. In addition, guests will enjoy door prizes and a chance to bid on beautifully crafted auction baskets.

On June 17, JFS hosted its Annual Meeting which provided an opportunity for staff, Board members, volunteers, donors, and supporters to come together and hear about the state of the agency, installations, donor recognition, volunteer appreciation, and staff awards.

Nearly 550 guests attended the 29th Annual Women’s Forum to see Humanitarian, Correspondent, and New York Times Best-Selling Author Jenna Bush Hager bring a unique vantage point about her upbringing and life today. The event, hosted at the Golden Nugget on June 6th, raised $170,000 to benefit Greater Atlantic City Charities including Atlantic City Day Nursery, Boys & Girls Club, CASA, and Jewish Family Service.

On Thursday, June 27 from 6pm to 9pm, JFS will host the 35th Annual House Tour Anniversary Party at a private bayfront residence in Margate. Guests will enjoy fun bites and beverages by FoodWerx, entertainment and liquor tastings. Casual attire. Tickets are $150 per guest.

William Bryson Everett has been appointed to the position of Director of Community Wellness for JFS. In this role, Bill will manage The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore, which offers programs and services for older adults, Integrated Case Management Services (ICMS), and the Intake department. Bill will also handle the development and application of grants related to support for older adults and other community members.

NFI & The Brown Family Golf Tournament Fore Charity, benefitting Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) and the Milton & Betty Katz Jewish Community Center (JCC), raised nearly $300,000 to support both agencies. With more than 230 golfers participating in morning and afternoon play at the Atlantic City Country Club, Team JCC won the coveted trophy.

JFS received a $204,497 grant from the Claims Conference Social Services Program to assist the 20 Holocaust survivors who live in this region. JFS provides essential programs and services to Survivors including homecare, case management, emergency financial assistance, Kosher meals, transportation, socialization programs and more.
