JFS Receives $30,000 Nourishing Neighbors Grant from ACME Markets Foundation

No one should go hungry. To combat food insecurity, ACME Markets Foundation awarded JFS a $30,000 Nourishing Neighbors Federal Meals Grant. The funding aims to connect qualified individuals with existing federal meal programs such as SNAP, WIC, P-EBT and free or reduced school nutrition programs.

JFS Receives $10,000 Grant to Support The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore

JFS has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Dennis Schuman Charitable Foundation to support The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore. The funding will allow JFS to continue to help older adults, over the age of 50, thrive in the community by providing essential services and programs. The Village offers much-needed services including grocery shopping and delivery, transportation, intergenerational activities, care coordination, friendly check-ins and more.

JFS Receives $150,000 Grant from NextFifty Initiative: Proceeds Support The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore

Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) is pleased to share that The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore program has received a generous $150,000 grant from NextFifty Initiative, a Colorado-based foundation that supports efforts to improve the lives of older adults and their caregivers. This funding will allow JFS to continue to provide essential services, programs and events to community residents over the age of 50.

JFS Card Party Raises Nearly $20,000 for The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore

The 8th Annual JFS Card Party, held August 25th at Harbor Pines Golf Club, raised close to $20,000 for The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore. Nearly 110 attendees gathered for an afternoon of games including Canasta and Mahjong as well as enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch while honoring the memory of community philanthropist, Bonnie Gurwicz.

End of the Season Clean Your Cupboards: Summer Residents Can Donate Remaining Food Surplus to JFS

In shore communities, the end of the summer season occurs just beyond Labor Day when summer residents and visitors dip their toe in the ocean one more time, purchase a few souvenirs and clean out their cupboards. For those individuals and families who have a surplus of non-perishable foods, basic essentials and baby products and prefer not to lug them back home, then JFS is the place for you.

33rd Annual JFS House Tour Raises $60,000: Proceeds Benefit The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore

More than 500 attendees enjoyed an afternoon of strolling through six stunning homes in Longport and Margate during the 33rd Annual Jewish Family Service House Tour. The event, sponsored by Surroundings Interiors, raised $60,000 to benefit The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore at JFS program which provides essential transportation, care coordination, meal delivery and socialization for adults (50+).

Atlantic City Electric Pledges Support to JFS

Atlantic City Electric, an Exelon company, has made a pledge to be an agency Builder Donor to Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS). The funds, totaling $3,000, will support health and social service programs to assure residents and clients continue to receive services that benefit their individual needs.

2022 JFS Annual Meeting -- Installations, Recognitions and Awards Celebrated

This year, the JFS Annual Meeting provided an opportunity for staff, Board members, volunteers and donors to come together in-person for the first time in two years. At the program, hosted on June 16th, attendees heard about the state of the agency and its continuing evolution and growth as well as installations, donor recognition, volunteer appreciation and staff awards.
