Serving Atlantic and Cape May Counties

Lay Leadership

JFS is governed by two lay leadership bodies, the Board of Directors (Board) and the Community Advisory Committee (CAC). The JFS Board, comprised of members of our Jewish community and one member of the CAC (which serves to link the Board and CAC directly), empowers our professional staff and helps establish the strategic direction of the agency. The CAC, comprised of community business and organizational leaders, provides advice to the Board and the agency as a whole about what is happening community-wide in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.

Working side-by-side, the members of the Board and CAC bring a specific expertise, diversity and knowledge base to our Board and are vital to our operations and success. The individuals who serve in lay leadership positions give of their time freely because they believe in JFS’s mission, purpose, and place in the community.
