The highly-anticipated House Tour, presented by Surroundings Interiors, will provide guests with the rare opportunity to view several luxurious Downbeach homes featuring state-of-the-art gourmet kitchens, custom woodworking, unique décor and lighting, and beautiful landscaping. Join Village Community Specialist Tina Serota for a book club gathering to discuss the 2025 Barnes & Noble novel of the year, international best-seller, Mona’s Eyes, by Thomas Schlesser. Fifty-two weeks is all of the time 10-year-old Mona has to learn about beauty before she loses her eyesight forever. Every Wednesday, Mona’s grandfather picks her up after school and takes her to see a great work of art. Together, on their visit to Paris’ museums, they experience enchantment and sadness. Most important, they grow even closer and learn to lean on each other as Mona discovers the power of art and the meaning of generosity, doubt, melancholy, and loss. Bau, Artist at War Movie, Light Kosher Dinner, Discussion, Art Display, and Sale

Experience the inspiring true story of artist Joseph Bau, whose humor, creativity, and courage helped others survive the Holocaust while he found love with fellow prisoner Rebecca Tannenbaum in the Plaszów concentration camp. The couple married in 1943, and their remarkable journey of love, resilience, and hope unfolds in Bau, Artist at War. The film highlights Rebecca’s extraordinary role in saving Joseph’s life. Fluent in nine languages, including German, she ultimately connected with Oskar Schindler, whose intervention ensured Joseph’s survival. The film encompasses the story of local second-generation Holocaust survivor Mindelle Pierce, as told in her book, Love with No Tomorrow. Following the screening, there will be a discussion with the couple’s daughters, Hadasa & Clila, who will share their family’s legacy. Guests will have the opportunity to view and purchase original artwork. Proceeds benefit the Joseph & Rebecca Bau Museum in Tel Aviv. A light dinner will be served. 12th Annual JFS Card Party

Players can look forward to exciting games of Mahjong and Canasta as well as lunch, prize baskets and more at the event hosted at Harbor Pines Golf Club, 500 Saint Andrews Drive, Egg Harbor Township. Participants should organize their own table with friends and family. Others will be randomly assigned to a table. Players must bring their own cards or game set. Book Club with Meryl Rodgers

Educator Meryl Rodgers returns to discuss former Wall Street Journal reporter Lucette Lagnado’s award-winning memoir, The Man in the White Sharkskin Suit. In the book, Lagnado portrays her Egyptian Jewish family’s remarkable journey from great wealth and a luxurious lifestyle in old Cairo to a new world filled with hope, hardship, faith, and the pursuit of a better life in Brooklyn.
