VILLAGE SOCIAL: Woodbine Synagogues, Soil, and South Jersey Jewish Life
In the 1890s, hundreds of Jewish immigrants fleeing pogroms in Tsarist Russia settled in South Jersey and built a self-governing Jewish colony on the edge of the Pine Barrens, rooted in farming, industry, and community. Join us for a delicious bagel brunch, brief lecture, and guided tour of the incredible 130-year-old synagogue and museum. Hosted by the Board of Jewish Education and The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore. Limited space on the bus. Meet at the Katz JCC, 501 North Jerome Avenue, Margate. Attendees may also drive to the program. RSVP by July 16.
