The Rothenberg Center for Family Life

The Rothenberg Center for Family Life at Jewish Family Service is a parenting and family life education and resource center designed to help families overcome many everyday challenges. Certified Parent Educators utilize their training in child and human development, psychology and sociology to provide individuals with healthy communication tools. The Center offers effective parenting programs, skills development courses for teachers and athletic coaches as well as teen programs on “making good relationship choices.” Rothenberg offers a supportive environment in which participants can meet others with similar interests and participate in group discussions. Some topics offered include:

* Healthy Relationships: Adolescents Making Good Choices
* Inspiring Multi-cultural Awareness

Health & Wellnesss Programming
JFS presents relevant wellness workshops to help individuals sustain healthy and vibrant lives. Health & Wellness topics may include:

* It’s a Mind Body Thing: Managing Stress On and Off the Yoga Mat
* Breast Health
* Genetic Awareness Programs

Women's Health Network
Through a partnership with the Central and South Jersey Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, Jewish Family Service (JFS) has established a program to help women who are dealing with mental health issues navigate the healthcare system. The JFS Women’s Health Network provides information, resources and links to services to help women maintain optimum health. The Network is dedicated to teaching health awareness, offering wellness practices and providing a feeling of connection to a caring community.

Personal Parent Support
For more individualized help, JFS offers personalized services where participants can sort out a specific issue or problem get clarification or discover a new insight relating to family relationships.

Economic Recovery Center (ERC)
Economic Response Center is a confidential and dignified resource designed to help individuals gain financial literacy and achieve economic self-sufficiency during these tough economic times. ERC covers a variety of support services including:

* Family Support
* Financial Literacy
* Legal Assistance
* Parenting in Tough Economic Times
* Recession Survival Skills
* Recovery Workshops

These programs have been made possible by the generous donations from The Jewish Federation Foundation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties and Hafetz & Associates.

When group support or personal coaching is not sufficient, JFS offers counseling to families and children.
