Sarah Dondero-Skeels Promoted at JFS

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Sarah Dondero-Skeels, LCSW, to the position of Director of Mental Health Services for Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS).

In this position, Sarah handles the day-to-day management of the Community Support Services (CSS) and Links to Health/Behavioral Health Home (LTH/BHH) programs. She will ensure the delivery of community-based care that is safe, efficient, and client-centered to enhance an individual’s quality of life.

A nearly five-year staff member, Sarah previously served as a Community Support Services (CSS) Supervisor and Clinician for the agency. Prior to joining JFS, she held Social Worker positions at DePaul Healthcare/Preferred Care at Absecon and Shore Medical Center. Sarah also maintains expertise working with, and advocating for, mental health services for youth.

A graduate of Stockton University, Sarah earned a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Gerontology. Sarah is also a member of the agency’s Safety committee and Motivational Interviewing learning community.

“Sarah has proven to maintain the dedication, expertise, and attributes to be successful in this position. With the influx of mental health support needed for children, teenagers and adults, her leadership will be essential for the department,” said Andrea Steinberg, JFS Chief Executive Officer.
