Jewish Family Service Awarded Grant from the Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties

Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) is pleased to have been awarded a $55,000 grant from the Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. The funds will support the agency’s Outpatient Counseling and Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore care coordination programs.

In 2023, JFS Counselors and Therapists provided more than 7,000 sessions with children, teenagers and adults. With the need for counseling services continuing to rise, JFS looks to keep pace, and ultimately exceed, last year’s figures.

Our agency Care Coordinators are experts in relationship building and social service navigation with older adult clientele. The Care Coordinators work with 50 older adults, including approximately 10 Holocaust Survivors, to ensure they utilize resources – legal, financial, health, mental health and others – that are readily available. For more than 100 years, JFS has been helping older adults in the community by providing critical services, many of which are not paid by private insurance or Medicare. As an agency, we are committed to ensuring the area’s aging population resides comfortably in place and receives essential services, when needed.
