Spring into April and enjoy these nine interactive, entertaining and informative virtual and in-person programs and activities offered through The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore at Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. DIY Container Gardening: Spring Bulbs & Flowers

Tuesday, April 4 from 10:30am to 11:30am

Spring is in the air! Join Village Community Specialist Tina Serota on Zoom from her front porch for a demonstration on planning, creating and maintaining your own manageable bulb/flower container garden. Get your porch, balcony, or deck ready to look vibrant for the season. RSVP by March 31.

Positivity Project: Morning Refresh

Wednesday, April 5 from 10:30am to 11:30am

Start your day in an upbeat way! Explore positivity with JFS Wellness Coordinator Mary Jean Arreola and Village Community Specialist Tina Serota. You’ll learn ways to boost wellness – mind, body, and soul. Topics include self-care, mindfulness, gratitude, meditation, and resiliency. RSVP by April 3.

Tuesday, April 11 from 10:30am to 11:30am

As we approach Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah), join Village Community Specialist Tina Serota to share your views on the two-part PBS documentary, The US and the Holocaust, with show Directors Ken Burns and Lynn Novick. Watch part one, The Holocaust & Refugees and Lessons for Today and part two The Holocaust & Authoritarianism Today, ahead of time for the discussion. Memoir Workshop: Hybrid

Experience the thrill of capturing your life’s adventures, history, and ancestry at the Memoir Workshop led by award-winning author and Drexel University Professor of Creative Writing Harriet Levin Millan. Your world in 60 minutes! Join a fast-paced discussion on politics, technology, world events, arts, religion, and more. Moderated by Village Community Specialist Tina Serota. Attend in-person at the Katz JCC Boardroom, 501 North Jerome Avenue in Margate or via Zoom. RSVP by April 13.

Lunch Around Town

Friday, April 21 from 12pm to 1:30pm

Enjoy a leisurely lunch with friends and neighbors while supporting a local restaurant. This month, we’ll dine at Vagabond Kitchen & Tap House, 672 North Trenton Avenue in Atlantic City. Come prepared for good food and fun conversation with good friends. Order off the menu. Pay individually. RSVP by April 14.

Evening Yoga with Candace

Monday, April 24 from 7pm to 8pm

Join Candace Martin for a Yoga class via Zoom. Find balance and tranquility while experiencing mental, physiological and spiritual rejuvenation as you enjoy quiet stillness and gentle body moves that burn off excess energy. Wind down to a deeper state of relaxation and prepare for your evening rest. RSVP by April 19.

Village Trivia Challenge

Thursday, April 27 from 4pm to 5pm

Test your knowledge and compete for the top prize from over 6,000 possible questions! Topics include science, geography, history, music, theater, movies and more. This event is free for Holocaust Survivors and Village Members. For non-members, the cost is $5 payable prior to April 20.
