JFS Card Party Raises $18,000

The 9th Annual Jewish Family Service Card Party, held at Harbor Pines Golf Club on August 24th, raised $18,000 for The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore. With morning and afternoon sessions, 130 attendees gathered to enjoy games of Canasta and Mahjong as well as dine on hors d’oeuvres and a delicious buffet lunch.

Through the generous support of the Lunch Sponsors – Renee Kiejdan and Fran Kiejdan-Lott and Hope & Keith Morgan, Heart Card Sponsors – Accent Aesthetics Medical & Laser Day Spa and Margaret & Howard Goldberg, and Spade Card Sponsors – Rosalie & Lawrence Clofine, Fountain View at Logan Square, Michelle & Gary Gluckow, Ruthie & Larry Harrison, Susan & Robert Lang, Susan & Robert Mayer, Right at Home, and Visiting Angels, the Card Party raised vital funds for The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore, a program that provides a variety of concierge, volunteer and professional services and socialization for adults (50+) in our community.

With nearly 20 on-site prizes, several guests went home with fantastic items including Mackenzie-Childs Glow Home Apothecary Essentials Box, Twist Pretzels & Ice Cream gift basket, Ocean City Delicious Treats, gift certificates from the Cheesecake Factory, Crab Trap, Jagielky’s Homemade Candies, & Margate Dairy and Burger Bar to name a few.

JFS also hosted a day-of auction featuring more than 20 fabulous prizes including overnight stays and dining at Resorts Casino Hotel and Ocean Casino Resort, Knit Wit gift card, JLor Fashions handmade vegan handbag, gift certificates to Barrel’s, Casel’s Marketplace, Growing Green, Knife & Fork, The Cheese Board and more.
