Nearly 500 guests attended the 28th Annual Women’s Forum to see Actress, Comedian, and New York Times Best-Selling Author Ali Wentworth share humorous tales about parenting, marriage, and life. The event, held at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City on June 8th, raised $125,000 to benefit Greater Atlantic City Charities including Jewish Family Service, CASA, Boys & Girls Club, and Atlantic City Day Nursery.

Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch and the opportunity to bid on more than 110 auction items including Singer Pink concert tickets, Kate Spade and Rebecca Minkoff designer handbags, chic jewelry, hotel stays and dining offers, spa packages, restaurant and shopping gift cards, wine baskets, and more.

“We were delighted to have Ali Wentworth as this year’s distinguished speaker at the Women’s Forum. Ali made everyone feel as if they were enjoying a lunch event with their best friend by regaling stories about her personal life and career,” said Brett Matik, event co-chair. “The sold-out audience and auction afforded Greater Atlantic City Charities the opportunity to raise funds to support several local nonprofits.”

A consummate artist, Ali created, wrote, and starred in the comedy series, Nightcap, which aired on the Pop TV network for two seasons. In addition, she served as the creator, star, and executive producer of the critically acclaimed Starz network series, Head Case. Television viewers will also remember Ali as Jerry Seinfeld’s girlfriend, Schmoopie, on the hit sitcom. In the movies, Ali portrayed Meryl Streep’s best friend in the film, It’s Complicated. She has also co-starred in the motion pictures, Jerry Maguire, Office Space, and Trial and Error.

Away from the spotlight, Ali has been recognized as a three-time New York Times bestselling author for The Wasp Cookbook, Ali in Wonderland, Happily Ali After, and Go Ask Ali. In 2022, she published the book, Ali’s Well That Ends Well. She also enjoys writing movie scripts and magazine columns.

The Women’s Forum is made possible by the support of its generous community and business sponsors – Accent Aesthetics, Anheuser-Busch, AtlantiCare, F.C. Kerbeck, Golden Nugget Atlantic City, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Harrison Beverage, Harrison Family Foundation, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Law Offices of Melissa Rosenblum, LLC, Ocean Wind 1, Parx Casino, and Walmart. As a completely volunteer committee, 100% of the proceeds are donated directly to local charities.
