Be a Friend of JFS

Posted on April 19, 2019

Dear Friend,

As Jewish families gather around their tables to recite the story of Passover, our thoughts turn to people struggling with burdens and oppression of today. By making a donation to our annual “Friends Campaign,” you will be helping us meet the needs of community members who turn to JFS for help.

Whether it’s keeping a family together in their home, providing a job to an adolescent with autism, or providing potentially life-saving counseling for a teenager suffering from depression, your gift enables us to provide essential services for 8,000 children and families each year. This year, we need your help to provide an increased level of care to meet the growing needs of our community.

A Friends donation can be mailed in the enclosed envelope or made securely online at jfsatlantic.org. On behalf of the JFS Board, staff and clients, we thank you for your generosity and support.

Please donate online today.

Sincerely,

Darren Matik, President & Andrea Steinberg, Chief Executive Officer

Craig, a single father, turned to JFS for help with his three kids. After losing their mother, his children became disconnected from their peers and often missed school. JFS helped the family deal with the trauma of their mother’s death through specialized counseling.

Still continuing with bi-monthly appointments, the children are re-engaged with friends and regularly attend school. Thanks to the guidance and support of JFS therapists, Craig is more confident in establishing the family’s new normal.
