Friends Campaign: Your Giving Supports Our Community

Now more than ever, many of our friends, neighbors and family members need support. At Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS), we’ve experienced first-hand the increase in need during this unprecedented and uncertain economic environment, especially in our region, and we’re here to help.

Throughout the past seven months, the JFS Pantry has seen an 80% increase in need for non-perishable food and basic essentials. Our Kosher Meals on Wheels program increased 67% with JFS staff and volunteers delivering a weekly average of 147 packages to residents and our Village by the Shore Shop at Home assists 50 members with grocery delivery each month.

So, whether it’s the Food Pantry, Supportive Housing, Counseling, Older Adult Services and more, JFS is committed to helping those in need. However, we can’t do it alone. As a JFS Friend, your contribution ensures we can provide assistance, programs and services for residences throughout our community.

When considering your donation, please know that every dollar helps. For example:

• $36 will feed a family through our food pantry services
• $50 will offset the cost of a counseling session for someone overcome with anxiety
• $100 will assure a month of Kosher meals for a senior sheltered at home
• $250 will provide emergency shelter for a family who otherwise might be homeless

As JFS continues to expand and enhance services across its dozens of program areas, our non-profit prides itself on being recognized as the go-to agency in times of need. From Village by the Shore to our Food Pantry to Counseling and the Atlantic Homeless Alliance, JFS relies on donations from you, our Friends, to meet the ever-growing needs of the community.
