Intake Worker

As an Intake worker of our agency you will be responsible for fielding direct calls from the community regarding services, assessing needs and providing the most appropriate internal and external resources to consumers. In addition, you will be responsible for working with an internal team of professionals to engage community organizations and resources in order to promote agency services.

  • Accepts incoming phone calls and walk-in requests for agency services or other assistance.
  • Engages new consumers in a positive manner.
  • Explain service programs in group and 1:1 basis to consumers and community stakeholders.
  • Documents work efforts in established Electronics Health Record.
  • Coordinates with program supervisors to distribute appropriate referrals to programs.
  • Refers individuals to outside resources as appropriate.
  • Works collaboratively with internal marketing team.
  • Facilitates participant liaison activities, coordinate outreach and agency special events.
  • Abides by Agency/NASW Code of Ethics.

Position Requirements

Education/Experience - Bachelors in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Counseling, Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Bilingual preferred.
