JFS is pleased to announce that we will host monthly wellness workshops for Holocaust Survivors and their family caregivers beginning this month.
The Law Offices of Melissa Rosenblum Increases Support to JFS
As an ardent Criminal Defense Attorney and JFS Board Vice President, Melissa Rosenblum is dedicated to her career and the community. Melissa serves as JFS’ Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, which works in conjunction with the agency’s Anti-Racism Committee. She embodies JFS’ mission and core values and through her generous multi-year agency pledge, JFS will continue to be able to offer programs and services needed by people in the region. As a JFS Leader Donor, Melissa increased her financial support to $5,000 annually for the next two years. The funds will benefit the Food Pantry, Counseling, Older Adult Programs, Supportive Housing, Vocational Services, and more.
JFS Joins the Stigma Free Atlantic Collaborative Countywide Program
JFS is proud to join the Stigma Free Atlantic Collaborative countywide program which aims to raise awareness and reduce negative beliefs associated with mental health and substance use disorders. The initiative hopes to create a culture where people feel supported by their community and seek treatment for disorders without fear of judgement.
Volunteers Needed to Assist with the 34th Annual JFS House Tour
On Monday, August 7th, JFS will host the highly-anticipated 34th Annual House Tour throughout the Downbeach area. For the hundreds of attendees to enjoy a flawless experience, JFS relies on staff and volunteers throughout each of the six to eight homes, lunch and boutique shopping area, raffle sales, and more.
8th Annual JFS Card Party - August 24, 2023
Guests can look forward to the 8th Annual JFS Card Party taking place on August 24th at the Harbor Pines Golf Club. The fundraiser, dedicated to the late Community Philanthropist Bonnie Gurwicz, will feature a delicious buffet lunch, auction items, door prizes and exciting games of Mahjong, Canasta, and Bridge.
