The Healing Center
While on our journey through life, many of us ask questions about the meaning of our lives and how Judaism can help us when facing challenges, pain and/or illness, repairing relationships, dealing with grief, coping with transitions, healing our bodies and being there for loved ones.
The Jewish Healing Center of Jewish Family Service helps Jewish individuals who are confronting these challenges through a range of programs, services, resources and education.
Growing out of our rich Jewish tradition and supported by caring members of the Jewish community, The Jewish Healing Center offers Jewish support groups, Jewish spiritual counseling, workshops, conferences, publications and consultation.
The Jewish Healing Center’s goal is to address issues related to loss and spirituality by helping attain a sense of wholeness through healing techniques and connections to a caring community and the spiritual traditions of Judaism.
Bikur Cholim (visiting the sick)

Kulam B’Yachad (Everyone Together)
Kulam B’Yachad, a volunteer program coordinated by Jewish Family Service in cooperation with local synagogues, offers services to provide comfort and support to the ill, homebound, isolated and/or distressed. Kulam B’Yachad was created to address the needs of the growing senior population, as well as individuals of any age who live with illness and must rely upon family, friends, and public support systems to help manage their everyday lives.
In the spirit of bikur cholim (visiting the sick), the program partners with local synagogues to identify and train volunteers from the broader Jewish community to reduce social isolation through personal visitation and assistance to participants and their families.
