Featuring a three-course vegetarian meal complimented with an interactive discussion by Herbalist Gayle Gross and restaurant owner Cookie Till, the JFS Herb Dinner is must attend event each year. The JFS Herb Dinner will be held on Tuesday, October 24th at Steve & Cookie’s By the Bay, 9700 Amherst Avenue, Margate beginning at 6 pm.  The evening features extraordinary dishes of seasonal herbs and vegetables perfectly complimented with red and white wines, edible centerpieces on each table, and a wine raffle. Hosted by Cookie Till, owner of Steve & Cookie’s By the Bay, this event benefits JFS Health & Wellness Initiatives.

“Each year we come up with a special menu specific for this event,” said Till. “Last year featured dishes such as pho with roasted butter nut squash, beets with smashed avocado, broccoli rabe, roasted cauliflower, and more, and we look forward to creating new and delicious courses for this year’s Herb Dinner.”

JFS Health and Wellness Initiatives provide numerous benefits to agency consumers such as physical activity, interaction with peers and healthy lifestyle education. Throughout the year, the agency also partners with AtlantiCare to offer ongoing health and wellness events for consumers, including a healthy dinner made with vegetables from the Community Garden as well as nutrition workshops.

Herb Dinner tickets are $100 per guest. Seating is limited to 75 attendees. Reservations can be made online. The RSVP deadline is October 10th. Raffle tickets are also available for $25, with each raffle entry wining a bottle of wine.
