12th Annual JFS Women’s Golf Tournament & Card Party Raises $30,000

Nearly 200 women enjoyed a picture-perfect day at the 12th Annual JFS Women’s Golf Tournament & Card Party on May 13, 2010. This annual outing entitled “Gem of a Tournament” raised more than $30,000 to benefit Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties children’s and family services as well as older adult programs, providing assistance to those in need through family treatment, individual treatment of children and outpatient counseling.
Golfers, Bridge and Mah Jong players gathered at Linwood Country Club for a day of golf, games, contests and prizes. As a special tribute, Jewish Family Service honored Susan Adelman and Sheila Jacobson for their continued support, charitable contributions and dedication to the agency.
Jewish Family Service extends a special thanks to co-chairs, Anna Feldman and Debra Rosman as well as the entire committee for their efforts in bringing the event together. With their help and the charitable support of our event sponsors, we are continuing to increase awareness in our community about the critical work that JFS does to help those in need.
We would like to congratulate grand prize drawing winner Laurie Wagenheim. She won a beautiful gem bracelet compliments of Teresa Katz. Roberta Muchnick took home the second prize drawing of a two-night stay plus breakfast at The Chelsea Hotel. Other winners included Rosie Freed, Sandy Kahn, Tracy Santoro, Edwina Hansen, Wendy Ruden, Lorraine Gross, Millie Segal and many more.
Golf contest prizes were won by Connie Lepre (Straightest Drive), Marlene Buckley (Luckiest Drive), Lori Kirsch and Tracy Santoro (Longest Drive), Shellee Milgram, Adria Light, Barbara Cohen, Gloria Tragbar and Valerie Losco (Closest to the Pin).
JFS also congratulates the top golf foursomes:

A special thanks to Teresa Katz who generously donated her jewelry to the event. Additionally Teresa is donating back to JFS 10% of any purchases made as a result of this tournament.
