OC Home Charitable Foundation Gives $3,000 Grant to JFS S.T.O.P. Program

JFS is pleased to announce that the Ocean City Home Charitable Foundation increased their support of the Senior Transportation Options Program (S.T.O.P.) by awarding the agency a $3,000 grant in November 2010.

“Ocean City Home Charitable Foundation has been a strong supporter of JFS and our older adult services,” said JFS Executive Director Andrea Steinberg. “We are excited to welcome them as an agency Builder Sponsor for their continued dedication.”

S.T.O.P. is a program that helps senior citizens of Atlantic County to live independently in their own homes by providing direct transportation when traditional travel modes are not adequate to meet the needs of the elderly. STOP riders are transported to medical appointments, grocery stores, rehabilitation centers and pharmacies.

Jewish Family Service serves 3,000 local individuals and families per year through a variety of services.  Responding to the needs of the community, JFS offers counseling, case management, and an array of other services including family and children’s programs, older adult assistance, autism support, Kosher Meals-on-Wheels, a community food pantry and diabetes advocacy.
