Attorney General Announces Veteran Pilot Program with JFS

Jewish Family Service is proud to announce that we have been selected for an exciting new program in Atlantic County aimed at identifying and providing community-based services to veterans and active duty military personnel.  New Jersey Attorney General Paula Dow held a press conference yesterday to announce the two-year pilot program created to help those who have served in the military to get help rather than go to jail when substance abuse and mental health issues lead to criminal activity. JFS will screen and evaluate program participants then report to the court on the progress and status.

This is an amazing accomplishment for our Justice Involved Services.  I am extremely proud of our entire team and want to extend a special thanks to Laura Rodgers and Gretchen Raring for their hard work in making this program come to fruition.

Atlantic County has one of the largest veteran populations in the state. It is incredible to know that JFS is seen as a leader and innovator in our field.
