24th Annual House Tour Raises $45,000

Nearly 1,000 attendees enjoyed and exclusive tour inside seven of Absecon Island’s most luxurious homes on Monday, August 1, 2011 to benefit Jewish Family Service. The House Tour raised more than $45,000 for the agency’s Older Adult Services. Guests were able to take in the views of a bay front home in Longport, examine the eclectic art collection of a three story home on Pacific Ave and hear the rolling waves in the newly constructed Margate beach home.
“The JFS House Tour brings together the entire community for an incredible day and cause – our Older Adult Services,” said JFS Executive Director Andrea Steinberg. “This year was the best yet. It would not be possible without our gracious home owners who lent their homes to us for the day, over 100 volunteers, the entire JFS staff, and of course our wonderful co-chairs Beth Shor and Susan Lutz.”
The winners of the 3rd Annual JFS House Tour raffle:
- The 5-night Las Vegas vacation, donated by Caesars Entertainment with airfare was won by Laurie Blumberg of Margate.
- Tracy DeNorio of EHT, won stunning diamond necklace, generously donated by Serago Roberts.
- Tickets to a 76ers game, generously donated by Stacey and Jon Gelman, complete with parking pass, went to Irene Stolzenberg of Blue Bell, PA.
- A QTC Card compliments of Margate Bridge Company good for 100 trips was won by Bonnie Bernett of Haveford, PA.
Proceeds from the 24th Annual JFS House Tour benefits the agency’s Older Adult Services which provides outreach, in-home psychotherapy, and geriatric assessments to older adults with the goal of enhancing their quality of life and helping them to maintain an independent lifestyle. Plans are already underway for next year’s event to be held on Monday, August 6, 2012.
