13th Annual Women’s Golf Tournament & Card Party
Raises $25,000 for Jewish Family Service
Nearly 250 women enjoyed a picture-perfect day during the JFS Women’s Golf Tournament & Card Party on May 19, 2011. In honor of its 13th year, this annual outing entitled “Par Mitzvah” raised more than $25,000 to benefit Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. The funding benefits children’s and family services as well as older adult programs, providing assistance to those in need through family treatment, individual treatment of children and outpatient counseling.
Golfers, Canasta and Mah Jong players gathered at Linwood Country Club for a day of golf, games, contests and prizes. As a special tribute, Jewish Family Service recognized the individuals and businesses whose continued support help to make the tournament a success through a candle lighting ceremony.
Jewish Family Service extends a special thanks to our event chair, Anna Feldman and advisor Debra Rosman as well as the entire committee for their efforts in bringing the event together.
With their help and the charitable support of our event sponsors, we are continuing to increase awareness in our community about the critical work that JFS does to help those in need.
We would like to congratulate grand prize drawing winner Barbara Berger who won a Restaurant a Month Dine Around. Sandra Kahn took home the second Bonus Breakfast prize. Other winners included Joy Braverman, Donna Gorsen, Margie Wildstein, Barbara Goldstein, Ilene Daniels, Rochelle Katz, Elaine Small, Joyce Mordecai and many more.
Golf contest prizes were won by Carol Summers (Straightest Drive), Jane Trimble and Tracy Santoro (Longest Drive), and Janice Mott (Closest to the Pin).
