JFS Card Party Raises $10,000 for Village by the Shore
Posted on August 25, 2016
The 3rd Annual JFS Card Party, held on August 18, 2016 at Harbor Pines Golf Club raised $10,000 for Village by the Shore. Nearly 100 attendees gathered for an afternoon of fun games such as Bridge, Canasta and Mah Jong, as well as vendors, food and prizes.
With many auction baskets and door prizes, several individuals went home with fantastic items such as restaurant and retail gift cards, spa gift certificates, snacks and goodies, signed sports memorabilia, tickets to local attractions and more. The Card Party also featured a silent auction, with attendees bidding on items such as wine and liquor baskets, getaways to Atlantic City casino hotels, fitness memberships and more.
Retail vendors 3 Girls Gifts, Hope Jewels, Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski, Sabai Soap Company, St. John Knits and Thirty-One Gifts showcased their fabulous items. Representatives from Hafetz & Associates and CarePatrol were on site to provide information about their services. Hors d'oeuvres, a buffet lunch and wonderful door prizes added to the activities and overall fun of the day.
With the generous support of sponsors, the Gurwicz family, Susan & Rob Lang, Visiting Angels, Barbara & Doug Groff, Rachel & David Ludwig, Golda & Martin Wood and the Rothman Institute, the Card Party raised even more vital funds for Village by the Shore, a program that provides a variety of concierge, volunteer and professional services and socialization for adults (50+) in our community.
