Cocktails for a Cause Raises Nearly $50,000 for JFS

Posted on February 19, 2016

More than 200 of the area’s most influential community leaders, supporters and business owners gathered for “Cocktails for a Cause” to benefit Jewish Family Service on Thursday, February 4, 2016. The 9th Annual Cocktail Party, held at the new event center in Resorts Casino Hotel Atlantic City, raised nearly $50,000 to benefit children and family services at JFS.

Co-chairs Sherri & David Anapolle, Farah & Michael Burns, Claudia & Eric Goldberg and Antoinette & Eric Wood and the entire committee organized another wonderful event. With their help and the charitable support of sponsors Fox Rothschild, Atlantic Medical Imaging, Marsha & Herman Zell, Resorts Casino Hotel, Marsh & McLennan as well as dozens of additional sponsors, JFS continues to increase awareness in the community about the critical work that the agency does to help those in need.

This year, guests enjoyed a premium bourbon tasting compliments of Bootleggers Liquor Outlet as well as an after-party at Margaritaville featuring music from DJ Phil Nappen. Guests also tried their luck by spinning a prize wheel, ultimately taking home a variety of raffle prizes including a Phillips House diamond and gold necklace from Bernie Robbins Jewelers, gift certificates to local restaurants, fitness memberships and exercise classes, tickets to local events, a bicycle, photo sessions, gift cards and items from local boutiques and much more.

JFS is already planning next year’s event in hopes of raising even more in 2017.  To join the JFS Cocktail Party Committee, please contact development@jfsatlantic.org.
