Cocktails for a Cause Raises $55,000

Posted on March 25, 2015

More than 250 of the area’s most influential community leaders, supporters and business owners gathered for “Cocktails for a Cause” to benefit Jewish Family Service on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. The 8th Annual Cocktail Party, held at Nero’s Italian Steakhouse in Caesars, raised $55,000 to benefit children and family services at JFS.

Co-chairs Farah & Michael Burns, Claudia & Eric Goldberg and Antoinette & Eric Wood and the entire committee organized another wonderful event. With their help and the charitable support of sponsors James Klinghoffer, Fox Rothschild, The Herbert & Lois Rothenberg Foundation, Marsha & Herman Zell, Fitzpatrick, Bongiovanni & Kelly, as well as dozens of additional sponsors, JFS continues to increase awareness in the community about the critical work that the agency does to help those in need.

This year, guests enjoyed the addition of a tequila tasting compliments of Bootleggers Liquor Outlet as well as an after-party at the new Gordon Ramsay Pub. Guests also tried their luck at a variety of raffle prizes including diamond teardrop earrings from Bernie Robbins Jewelers, a social events package, dine around, chef’s dinner at the Knife & Fork, golf foursomes to regional courses, Atlantic City Airshow tickets and a spa party at Drift Day Spa.

JFS is already planning next year’s event in hopes of raising even more in 2016. To join the JFS Cocktail Party Committee, please contact development@jfsatlantic.org. To see pictures from "Cocktails for a Cause", click here.
