Posted on July 30, 2014
Each day 10,000 baby boomers turn 65. With so many questions about healthcare, exactly what do seniors need to know? October starts the Medicare Open Enrollment Period. This is the one time per year that seniors can make a change to their prescription or advantage plans. Village by the Shore, a JFS initiative, is hosting two free information presentations about Medicare basics on Thursday, September 4th and Tuesday, September 9th beginning at 10 a.m. Presented by Hafetz & Associates, the 45-minute educational seminar will discuss the basic parts of Medicare including Medicare Part A and Part B, Part C Advantage plans, Part D prescription plans and supplemental plan coverage. Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer session as well as private consultations with representatives. This is an opportunity to assure that everyone is knowledgeable about their Medicare plan and their benefits.
Refreshments will be served. Registration is recommended. Presentations will take place at Jewish Family Service, 607 N. Jerome Ave., Margate, NJ. For more information or to register, please contact Amanda Reese at 609-872-0001 x127 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
