Nearly 200 of the area’s most influential community leaders, supporters and business owners gathered for “Diamonds for a Cause” to benefit Jewish Family Service of Atlantic and Cape May Counties (JFS) on Thursday, February 27, 2014. The 7th Annual Cocktail Party, held at Luke Palladino in Harrah’s Resort, raised nearly $45,000 to benefit children and family services at JFS.
Co-chairs, Claudia & Eric Goldberg and Farah & Michael Burns and the entire committee organized another exciting event. With their help and the charitable support of sponsors Fox Rothschild, Burns Property Group, Atlantic City Linen Supply, Margaret & Howard Goldberg, Andrea & David Goldberg as well as dozens of additional sponsors, JFS continues to increase awareness in the community about the critical work that the agency does to help those in need.
This year, guests enjoyed the addition of a live cooking demonstration by Luke Palladino and whiskey tasting compliments of Bootleggers. Guests also tried their luck at a variety of raffle prizes including diamond hoop earrings from Bernie Robbins Jewelers, Harbor Pines golf outing and Caesars getaway package.
“It's so wonderful to see everybody having a good time, learning about Jewish Family Service and knowing that their dollars are going for important services in the community," said Andrea Steinberg, Executive Director of Jewish Family Service.
JFS is already planning next year’s event in hopes of raising even more in 2015. To join the JFS Cocktail Party Committee, please email.
