Karats for a Cause Raises $50,000

More than 250 of the area’s most influential community leaders, supporters, politicians, and business owners gathered for “Karats for a Cause” to benefit Jewish Family Service of Atlantic and Cape May Counties on Thursday, February 7, 2013. The 6th Annual Cocktail Party raised more than $50,000 to benefit children and family services at JFS as well as Sandy Recovery efforts.
Co-chairs Lisa & Mark Lippman and Farah & Michael Burns along with a bustling room of guests enjoyed an exclusive evening at Atlantic Grill in Caesars Atlantic City. The “Karats for a Cause” committee recognized Outstanding Business Atlantic City Linen Supply and Outstanding Volunteer Portia Parto, of Margate for their dedication and support following Superstorm Sandy with an honoree toast and award presentation. Highlights also included a Sangria and craft beer tasting, exciting raffle, exquisite jewelry display from Bernie Robbins Jewelers as well as signature sushi station and specialty drink.
