JFS is…Because of Friends like you

Posted on August 29, 2013

Dear Friend,

As the High Holidays approach, we usually find ourselves reflecting on the past year, our family, friends, and the many great things in our lives. While counting our many blessings, it is also important to remember those who are struggling and need our help.

Whether securing housing for a displaced family, offering youth counseling, or providing companionship to a homebound senior, community members turn to JFS in their time of need. We rely on the generous donations of Friends,  like you, to help these individuals and families. We can—and will—make a difference, but need your support to continue providing an increased level of care for the community.

We ask you to please support JFS by making a donation to our Friends Campaign. We are less than $19,000 away from our annual fundraising goal. Your tax-deductible gift can made securely online.

A $500 donation provides essential services for Scott, a 17 year old with Autism Spectrum Disorder as he prepares to graduate high school and enter the workforce.

A gift of $250 will offset transportation costs for Millie, an 83-year old homebound senior, to medical appointments.

A $100 contribution will provide the Johnson family one week of essential food for home-cooked meals.

On behalf of the entire Board and Staff, we wish you L’Shanah Tovah. May the coming year be filled with health, happiness and prosperity.
