As Atlantic County begins to repair from Hurricane Sandy, Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) has created a Donation and Distribution Center to provide basic necessities to those affected by the storm.
Starting November 12th, Jewish Family Service's Donation and Distribution Center will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at St. James School in Ventnor. The center plans to be open through the end of the year. The main entrance is on Portland Avenue between Ventnor and Atlantic Avenues. JFS will be distributing non-perishable food, toiletries and other basic necessities to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The Red Cross will also be serving hot meals daily.
Donations are also accepted at this location. Top needs currently include rice, beans, peanut butter, pasta, spaghetti sauce and diapers (of all sizes). Volunteers are needed to assist with the collection, organization and distribution. Visit the JFS Community Exchange Page for the latest volunteer opportunity and to offer your time.
