JFS Donation & Distribution Center Open Tuesdays & Thursdays in January

JFS continues to serve those affected by the storm. Beginning January 3, 2013, the JFS Donation & Distribution Center will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am – 1 pm. The Center, will be closed from December 24 through January 2nd. During this time, individuals may visit the agency food pantry which is open Monday thru Friday from 9 am – 4 pm at 607 N. Jerome Ave in Margate.
Jewish Family Service's Donation and Distribution Center is located at St. James School in Ventnor. The main entrance is on Portland Avenue between Ventnor and Atlantic Avenues. JFS is distributing non-perishable food, coats, toiletries and other basic necessities to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The agency also provides an array of services including application assistance, referrals, counseling and mental health services. To receive additional assistance, please contact the agency’s Intake Department at 609-822-1108. Community members are welcome to utilize the Distribution Center once per week and must present valid ID with full name and address.
Donations are also accepted at the JFS Distribution Center at St. James School. Current needs include peanut butter, jelly, pasta, spaghetti sauce, shampoo, cleaning supplies and diapers (of all sizes). Donations of toilet paper, paper towels, mac-n-cheese, tuna, cereal and other non-perishables are always accepted. Volunteers are needed to assist with the collection, organization and distribution.
