GIVE TODAY
The down economy, increased unemployment, and the bitterly cold weather have been challenges for thousands of people. Jewish Family Service turns to you to help make a difference in the lives of more than 3,000 residents of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. By making a donation to our annual “Friends Campaign,” you will be helping us to meet the needs of children, families and the elderly.
Housing
Steve slept with a roof over his head while the snow fell outside.
Last year, JFS provided temporary and long-term housing for approximately 75 homeless individuals.
Food Pantry
JFS put food on the table for Christopher and his 9 year old sister
… along with nearly 500 other individuals and families who received groceries through the JFS Food Pantry.
Counseling
Emily learned to cope after witnessing a fatal car accident.
The nearly 2,000 children affected by trauma in Atlantic County can now turn to JFS for counseling and support.
Nursing
Adele learned to manage her diabetes through a series of specialized workshops
.…plus more than 65 older adults received nursing assessments and support through JFS’s expanded Older Adult Services.
*The names have been changed but the situations remain the same.
You can be assured that your gift - in any amount - will be used to help the members of our community who depend on JFS.
Because of the generosity and commitment of our Friends, we raised $35,110 in 2009. This year we need your help to continue providing an increased level of care for the community.
