- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; a plus if in social services, non-profit or related industry.
Skills and Responsibilities
The Accountant provides financial information and prepares financial reports to determine and maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial activities. Responsibilities range from providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, the management of the accounting system and processes, preparation of budgets, variance reports, bank reconciliations, maintenance of the general ledger, monthly closing, process improvement and internal controls.
Skills and Qualifications include: Accounting, Corporate Finance, Reporting Skills, Quickbooks, Outlook, Excel and Data Base systems (Avatar a plus). Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Research Results, Confidentiality, Time Management, and Data Entry Management.
