Assistant Controller

This position provides assistance in maintaining a variety of financial transactions and records; compiling information and preparing reports and/or summaries.

Duties include performing a variety of complex clerical, bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records, and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports.  Prints and validates various accounting documents, including checks, statements, and deposit totals on accounting areas assigned, researches and responds to questions regarding transactions.

Three or more years of experience in a healthcare, human services or not-for-profit setting preferred. Strong general knowledge of accepted clerical accounting practices, excellent attention to detail required with outstanding computer (QB Pro, Microsoft Office) skills.  Successful candidate will be able to work independently and in team environment and capable in maintaining confidential and time-sensitive information

Case Manager: Mental Health Justice-Involved Services (MHJIS)

Description:
This outreach role is in The Mental Health Justice Involved Services Programs (MHJIS), funded by a contract with the New Jersey Division of Mental Health Services. The MHJIS Programs provide engagement, case management intervention and advocacy to mental health consumers encountering the police and those who are serving sentences at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
This position ensures contract commitments are met through identifying and successfully engaging appropriate clients to receive services under professional, state, and Agency standards and guidelines.

Key responsibilities include full outreach and engagement of eligible clients.  Position requires flexibility, commitment and the ability to interact with a broad client and professional constituency. Reporting to the Supervisor, MHJIS, this position also carries a caseload of program consumers and works as part of a team leader within the program.

One of two open MHJIS Case Manager Positions will work mainly in a police outreach role with an anticipated work schedule:
Monday(s) 9:00am to 9:00pm
Tuesday(s) 1:00pm to 9:00pm
Wednesday(s) 9:00am to 9:00pm
Thursday(s) 9:00am to 9::00pm
Friday(s), Saturday(s), Sunday(s) Off.


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in social work, psychology, counseling or related field. Two years post-Master’s experience in MH field preferred.  Valid New Jersey automobile license and proof of insurance necessary.

Successful applicants will have the ability to effectively and consistently lead staff and should be well organized, possess excellent clinical, verbal and written communication skills, and be computer literate.  Ideal candidate will be a creative self-starter and skilled negotiator with community social service systems.

BA/BS in Human Services with 1 year related experience required for challenging position providing Integrated Case Management services and/or homeless individuals with psychiatric disabilities in an outreach capacity.

Following DMHS regulations serving individuals leaving state hospitals or short-term care, responsibilities include assisting consumers through the facilitation of referrals and resources.
