Bethanie Gorny,
President
|
Dr.
Bethanie Gorny of Linwood was installed as the new JFS
President in June of 2006. Dr. Gorny, a learning consultant
presently serving on several independent child study
teams, recently retired from Rowan University where
she was an assistant professor on the special education
faculty.
Dr. Gorny, who received
her B.A. from Kean College, her M.A. from Rowan University,
and her doctorate from Nova University, is married
to Jack, a local attorney and chairperson of the Stockton
Holocaust Resource Center Board. They have two children,
Dan Millstein and Rebecca Apfelberg. Their first grandchild,
Marley Eva Apfelberg, was born this past April.

Andrea Steinberg,
Executive Director
|
Andrea
Steinberg joined Jewish Family Service of Atlantic &
Cape May Counties as Executive Director in 2006, bringing
a wealth of experience and innovative practices to her
new position.
A graduate of Boston University, she received her MSS
from Bryn Mawr College.
Andrea has demonstrated
a lifelong commitment to the field of Jewish communal
service. She was previously the Clinical Director
of Jewish Family and Children's Service of Southern
New Jersey in Cherry Hill, NJ where she was largely
responsible for the growth and expansion of agency
programs and functions.
